Q: How can I reverse the image on the small size panel used on AV applications?
A: Looking at Pin 37 & Pin 39 on UPS015 or UPS017
- If pin 37 is set to HIGH (default) the imaged is scanned downward
- If pin 37 is set to LOW the image is scanned upward
- If pin 39 is set to HIGH (default) the image is scanned from right to left
- If pin 39 is set to LOW, the image is scanned from left to right

Q: How can I reverse the image on AU's 3.5" reflective type panel used on PDA applications?
A: Looking at Pin 5 (LR) & Pin 6 (UD) on UPS101
- If pin 5 (LR) is set to HIGH (normal), the image is scanned from left to right
- If pin 5 (LR) is set to LOW (reverse), the image is scanned from right to left
- If pin 6 (UD) is set to HIGH (normal) the imaged is scanned downward
- If pin 6 (UD) is set to LOW (reverse) the imaged is scanned upward

Q: How do I select between Portrait and Landscape mode for the 3.5" reflective type LCD?
A: Looking at Pin 32 (RES), which controls resolution on UPS101
- When pin 32 (RES) is set to HIGH the image is displayed in Portrait mode (240x320)
- When pin 32 (RES) is set to LOW the image is displayed in Landscape mode (320x240)

Q: How can I choose between Analog RGB input and Composite video input from the "R" serial driving board?
A: Looking at Pin 4 on JP1
- When pin 4 is set to LOW (default) the input signal is Composite video
- When pin 4 is set to HIGH the input signal is Analog RGB

Q: Which driving board supports digital input signal?
A: The "D" serial driving board supports digital input signal. This driving board has the capacity to deliver 8-bits data from the display memory to the proper LCD interface.

Q: How do I zoom in or zoom out on the 7" or 6.5" widescreen display?
A: The zoom function is controlled from Pin 20 (ZX1), Pin 21 (ZX2) and Pin 22 (ZX3) on UPS017

Zoom-Wide2 HIGH LOW LOW Lower 205 lines of input signals are displayed on full screen. (Vertically extension and different horizontal timing scaling)
Zoom3 LOW LOW LOW Center 205 lines of input signals are displayed on full screen. (Vertically extension, zoom factor=4/3)

Q: How can the image quality be improved?
A: Grounding is necessary.

Q: How can I supply power to AU's 3.5" reflective type LCD?
A: DVCC: 3.3V --> Source driver received digital power
AVDD : 3.3V --> Analog power
VGH : +12V --> Gate high voltage
VGL : -12V --> Gate low voltage
VCOM : +5V --> Common electrode
VCC : 3.3V --> Gate driver receives digital power

Q: What does “AVDD1” mean on the TFT LCD A018AN03-1/A015AN02-1 panel driving section?
A: AVDD1 is defined by the Vcac from the Vcom.
It supplies positive power for level shift circuit.

Q: What is the function of the OUT_DE pin on H035QR02V2?
A: The OUT_DE pin on ASIC is only a test pin to determine if the ASIC is functioning properly. The OUT_DE pin does not need to be connected. If the OUT_DE pin receives a Data enable signal, this signifies the ASIC is normal, otherwise the ASIC is non-functioning.
